| 4/14/05 | This Sunday, the 17th of April, we will bring you twice the entertainment as we host a special performance of the Suspicious Clowns from 7-9 pm, prior to our usual Open Mic with Nick Gonzales. Just in time for tax season, we will continue to protest taxation without representation by offering a drink special you can afford, even after paying your taxes. Pithers of Leinenkugel for only $5.00 all night long. And don't miss the acclaimed, acoustic stylings of Big Breakfast on Friday the 22nd! |
| 4/03/05 | The Grand Opening was, of course, even better than expected. The house was full, shiny and clean. After enjoying beef sandwiches, beer, and the new arcade games, the crowd was treated to the rock of three bands! We are getting off to a great start this month with a CD release party and art opening by Kevin Smiley on April 8th. Just in time for tax day, General Patton & His Privates will take the stage on the 16th. Gallery favorites Kentucky Jelly and Kill TV will be here on 4/23. |
| 3/22/05 | Thanks to all who joined us on Patty's Day! The Gallery Cabaret will be closed for remodeling 3/27/05 thru 4/1/05. We will be having a re-opening gala featuring not one but two bands. We will unveil a new collection of arcade games including foosball, darts, Golf Tee, a new internet jukebox with access to over 10,000 songs, and MORE BEER! That's right, you will be able to enjoy the Gallery with a wider selection of beers, all within a custom intstalled new interior with cable sports TV and drink specials from open 'til 9:30 pm when the music starts! |

| 2/12/05 | Our Tuesday Night has been expanded to begin at 7:30 and feature Jack Crofoot and Jim Frazier until 10:00 pm. Jack is a singer-songwriter keyboard player. (Other regular bookings include piano bars such as Fly Me To The Moon.) Jim is a singer-songwriter guitarist. Both also do covers - jazz, blues, rock, boogie, pop. They regularly appear at The Raw Bar and The Bad Dog Saloon. Our usual blues jam will begin at 10:00 pm. |
| 1/10/05 | The Gallery Cabaret is pleased to be starting 2005 off right with a January including a Todd Kelley Memorial on the 12th, and Scott Parrish's Kill TV on the 14th. Our Monday Jazz Series is enjoying favorites Brian O'Hearn and the Model Citizens on the 17th and Rudy Eroncig w/Marilyn B. on the 31st. See our schedule page for a complete monthly schedule. | 12/28/04 | As 2004 draws to a close, the Gallery Cabaret is pleased to announce that we will close the year off with music by the band Nametag. On January 7th, we will host an art opening with Jeanean Utley and music by Gilmore Fisher. Thanks for a great year, everybody! Be sure to keep visiting us in 2005. |
| 12/20/04 | On Christmas Eve, the annual Gallery Christmas party will begin at 9:00 pm with entertainment by General Patton and his Privates and Rocky Galati. Christmas Dinner will be served! Turkey with all the trimmings. Our Thanksgiving Chef is returning! On Christmas Day, the Gallery will open at 9:00 pm for the Annual Todd Kelley Memorial Concert with the Mythic Figs. Come to the Gallery for a Happy Holiday! |
| 12/05/04 | Santa Claus is comin' to the Gallery! On 12/11/04, a number of Chicago area 'Santas' will be descending upon the Gallery. Can you guess which one is the real Santa? Stop by and see. In keeping with Secret Santa tradition, their arrival time is not yet revealed, so come by early and hang out late. The Cable Guy is coming this week too! We will have cable service by the end of the week, with complete sports and entertainment coverage. Stop in to enjoy the best in sports and entertainment everyday. From 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Leinenkugel Pints will be $1.50, Pabst Bottles will be $2.00! IMPORTANT: Television will be pre-empted for entertainment nightly. We are still, first and foremost, Chicago's premiere free entertainment venue. |
| 12/02/04 | Headlines galore for December! On December 12th, all the way from California, The World Record will play from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm prior to our popular open mic w/Fred. On Christmas Day, the Gallery will be open at 9:00 pm and we will host the annual Todd Kelley Memorial with The Mythic Figs(visit them on our links page!). New Year's Eve will be a total blow-out with not one but THREE bands: Kentucky Jelly, The Geezers, and Meat Sandwiches. New Year's Day also promises to be a rockin' good time as we open at 9:00 pm and feature the music of Lush Budget. Don't forget Christmas Eve! We will open at our regular time with entertainment TBA. |
| 11/27/04 | The Gallery Cabaret Thanksgiving feast was a smashing success! Gallery favorites like Rocky Galati, Jeremiah Stone and Dwain Storey along with talented host Garrett Lane shone brighter than the Star of Bethlehem. This was okay on Thanksgiving, but we'll tell them to tone it down for our annual Christmas celebration, which you won't want to miss. It was a night of full, happy stomachs. Thanks to Mike for the great Turkey and his excellent stuffing recipe. The Gallery will be open on Christmas Eve and Christmas day. The music of the Mythic Figs will be featured on Christmas Day. Be sure to catch this one! |
| 11/04/04 | We are pleased to announce that we will be open on the evening of Thanksgiving day at 9:00 pm. In keeping with our tradition, there will be full Thanksgiving dinner served and Open Mic. The artwork of our bartenders Tressa and Kym will be on display. |
| 10/07/04 | The Gallery Cabaret goes online! We are busy building a site that will give you a complete schedule of our Seven Nights per week of free musical entertainment. We'll also let you know what artists are showing their work. You'll be able to buy Gallery Cabaret T-Shirts and other fun merchandise here. And, like our website, The Gallery itself is scheduled for remodeling. We'll keep you posted! |
