Welcome to the
Gallery Cabaret!

5/4/10

The Gallery Cabaret has been honored by the Miller-Coors brewing company to be one the select few bars in the nation to be able to serve their newest old product, Batch 19. The recipe for Batch 19 was discovered in the basement of the Coors brewery and dates back to before prohibition. Reproducing this fine, flavorful brew has been nearly five years in the making. Using hops and craftsmanship rarely seen in today’s market, the result is a robustly flavored, drinkable lager packing 5.5 percent alcohol content. Beginning today, May 4th, 2010, Batch 19 will be available on tap at The Gallery Cabaret for your drinking pleasure! Stop by and grab a pint or two.

The Spring Season of Rebirth is well underway at the Gallery Cabaret. This month we welcome the return of one of Chicago’s favorite artists, Pepper, opening on Friday the 7th with the music of Gen’ral Patton and his Privates. The Chicago band, with a twenty year history, Dead Steel Mill brings their Punk Rock of the Working Class to the Gallery Stage on Saturday the 15th. On the 31st, fifth Monday of this month, we welcome the return of the Val Leventhal band with the Terry Sullivan Trio. In yet another revival, comedy troupe Schadenfreude takes the stage for another rent party on Friday the 21st. We also welcome a lineup of newcomers this month, including Airplane Grade, Whisker Music, Passive Aggressor, Lizard Boys, and numerous others. Also rebirthing this month, Miller Beer brings back Batch 19, a pre-prohibition micro-brew featuring a unique and robust flavor, and a little extra kick with a 5.5 percent alcohol content. When this recipe was discovered in a basement of the Miller Brewery, they only chose a select few bars in Chicago to carry the resurrected brew harkening back to a time when taste, tradition, and craftsmanship were more highly valued. We’ve always respected the tradition of good times and great music here at the Gallery! Speaking of tradition, don’t miss our usual line-up of Open Mic, Singer/Songwriter Showcase, Blues Jam, Jazz Mondays, The Two Hour Comedy Hour, and Gallery favorites like Unearthed and Classical Revolution. Also on schedule for rebirth this month, keep an eye out for our new website, coming soon!
